Auxiliary
Since 1933, the Auxiliary to Windham Hospital has been committed to supporting the hospital through its many fundraising events which benefit patient care. In 2016 the Auxiliary donated the funds for a new transport ventilator for our Paramedic Program. Purchase of this important piece of equipment shows the ongoing commitment by the Auxiliary to ensure its community members are cared for in emergency situations by such highly trained and skilled professionals.
Our Spirits in the Center and the Gala “Hats Off to You” were part of our fundraising efforts in 2016. A donation to renovate the new Integrative Health Suite was provided to the Hospital to allow our patients and community members to attend Yoga Classes, Acupuncture as well as Reflexology in a relaxing, healing environment.
Two $1000 Scholarships were awarded to area high school graduates seeking higher education in the health care field. The Anne L. Card Memorial Scholarship is named in honor of the late Anne L. Care who was a 50-plus year member of the Auxiliary and a dedicated volunteer at the hospital.
