For the work we have done, we have achieved recognition locally and nationally. U.S. News & World Report recently ranked Hartford Hospital Number One in the Hartford metro area and high performing in psychiatry, nephrology, urology and orthopedics. As the major academic medical center and tertiary-care facility within Hartford HealthCare, we continue to play a pivotal role in creating a seamless system of integrated care for the people we serve. We have introduced many “firsts” this year in cardiology, orthopedics, bariatrics, cancer care and other areas of critical need. We are revolutionizing care, and building state-of-the-art environments in which to deliver it, such as our Bone and Joint Institute, now under construction.
