Patient Ride Service at MidState
A program at MidState Medical Center provides rides to patients who need transportation to and from the main campus and the Hartford HealthCare HealthCenter at 61 Pomeroy Ave. in Meriden. The service, which is operated by LAZ, is open to established patients who have a medically necessary treatment at these locations, but no other transportation options.
The service is available weekdays between 5 a.m. and 9 p.m., and is offered between the patient’s home and the two Meriden locations. Patients with scheduled treatments can have their transportation booked from home to MidState within 24 hours before the desired pick-up time. In addition to the patient, up to three family members can ride with the patient to or from the facility at no additional expense.
